Traffic and the Shot Dead Man

(John T. Williams, rest in peace)

Traffic and the shot dead man

don’t get along

One enforcement officer coned off Boren southbound

Dying happened in maybe five, six feet—

the length of Boren up the hill is endless when

you factor in the sky

We were headed to a ballgame

headed to park somewhere off of Yesler then

walk to the ballgame

One enforcement officer decided it was time to shoot

Traffic and tempers were all we knew

who were

headed to a ballgame which is our pastime

Endless when you take into account the sky
